Introduction to Solar PV
Prerequisites: some basic knowledge of electrical Systems
Want to get into the growing solar photovoltaic (PV) installation field? This course is your first step.
This five-day introductory course will prepare you to work at an entry level in the solar industry and will provide you with the knowledge to take the North American Board of Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) PV Entry Level Exam. The 40-hour program combines lecture and discussion, in-class and out-of-class exercises, and hands-on activities. Topics covered will include:
Through successfully passing the NABCEP Entry Level exam, students will demonstrate that they now have a basic knowledge of the fundamental principles of the application, design installation, and operation of grid-tied and stand-alone PV Systems. (Note: The exam date will be scheduled the first day of class).
Solar PV Grid Tie For Electricians
Prerequisites: Electrical license
This two day training will educate licensed electricians.

Renewable Energy Vermont (REV) has recently approved this 40-hour training. It will qualify any individual for provisional partnership, regardless of their status of an electrical license.
